SkinFolder on Network Share with Portable Version

Hi there

I am starting to use Rainmeter for a training environment on different VMs and like to use Rainmeter as info tool on the different computers.
Having checked the default and portable version and I'd like to use the portable one as it seems to be easier to get it ready by simply copy paste the folder.
For easier management of the shown content on the VMs, I want to have the Skins (folder) remote on a file server, but can't get it to work with the portable version.

Tried this way:
[Rainmeter]
...
SkinPath=\\192.0.0.1\Share
...


Can someone help me with the SkinPath variable? Is it ignored on the portable version?
I got it working with the default installed variant but how to do it with the portable?
